4 weddings, a beach trip, and a baby

So baby #3 is soon to be here, she is due to meet us on July 7.  I am convinced we will see her sweet face much sooner than that.  I have been keeping my fingers crossed she didn't arrive until after we finished our final "family as we know it" activities.  I am planning to work until June 29 but it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if my maternity leave started earlier than that.  6 am alarms and 7:15 phone calls followed by a packed calendar daily are exhausting at this point in my pregnancy!  Thank goodness G-Mama is here to help pitch in.

35 weeks

It has been an action packed, fun early summer. We have celebrated the start of 4 new marriages in the past 6 weeks. It is funny because in the past 5 years I don't think we have been to more than 1 or 2 weddings: baby showers yes, weddings no. Each event was so unique and such a beautiful reflection of the couple's personality. Also each couple had such a wonderful touching story to accompany their vows..... in short I cried my eyes out throughout May and June.

We also spent 5 days at Litchfield, SC over Memorial Day. Ed and I love the beach and wanted to get a trip in with C and B before their lives change dramatically. They of course had a great time but honestly wanted to spend more time at the pool than the beach. It was great to see how far their swimming skills have come and how brave and driven C is to learn to swim without assistance.

Chillin in the lazy river

Our final trip prior to becoming a family of 5 was this past weekend celebrating the wedding of my cousin Alee. It was held at The Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill which was one of the most beautiful spots in KY horse country. We enjoyed staying in one of the historic wash houses(grateful for the updated bathroom it had). C was the official "flower girl" and B was the self appointed "flower guy". Alee's mother Carol is C's namesake so it was especially touching that she got to be part of the wedding party. It was a unique and gorgeous event.  We are so happy to welcome Davis to our family!
