Friends, It has been a long time. A lot has gone on since I last wrote here and I can't promise consistent updates going forward. Here's a breif timeline of our life since the end of October:
- Early November trip to Berlin for work, first visit to that lovely city
- Mid November discover I am expecting baby #3 !
- 1 week training course at West Point(non military type training)
- Small quiet Thanksgiving at home due to first trimester yuckines....
- Buy a minivan for our growing family. Mixed emotions about that step but I love it!
- Another trip to Germany in mid December for supplier negotiations, exhausting....
- Christmas in VA and again in KY, New years at my cousins home in Lexington, KY
- Uncle Gil passes away shortly after New years
- Uncle Mike passes away the following weekend, back to KY.
- Prepare for trip to Asia....currently on the nearly final leg of that flight.
So up to the nearly present I have spent the past 2 weeks in Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Hong Kong(for the weeekend) Guangzhou, and Hanoi visiting suppliers and their factories every day. All has gone well and the outcomes were worth the travel but whew it has been a lot. We were not in the same hotel for more than 2 nights, and only had that luxury twice.
Back stateside my mom and dad have been helping Ed hold down the fort in VA. In addition they have been doing a light remodel on the kids bath while there. We are getting a double sink so they kids won't fight (as much) over using the sink. We are outfitting it with an Ikea sink in our pedastal tub bath...should be an interesting contrast! It was the only double sink we could find that would fit the space honestly. Little man has also gotten mild pneumonia while I was away so I am anxious to get home and check on him.
Enough travel for me, hopefully nothing over 2 nights until maternity leave time!
We find out the sex of baby #3 this coming Monday. C thinks it is as girl, my gut says boy. Boy I can't believe we will be a family of 5!
